Megabus has saved me a lot of money this year. I went down to Washington, DC today for $1. The return ticket was only $3. I don’t know how Megabus makes any money at these cheap rates, but I certainly appreciate the low prices.
But what I don’t appreciate is the dearth of available Wi-Fi on my last few Megabus trips. Megabus prominently advertises that their busses feature complimentary Wi-Fi, but once again tonight—for my third trip in a row and fifth out of six—the Wi-Fi was not working. Megabus explicitly states that Wi-Fi is not guaranteed and I am certainly not looking for compensation, but Megabus should not advertise what they continue to fail to deliver.
I will continue to frequently use Megabus due their prices, schedules, and location, but they need to either get the Wi-Fi problem worked out or at least stop advertising it is included in the ticket price—it really smacks of bait and switch.
