Hat tip to The Points Guy, check out the great prices to Ireland right now. These won’t last, get after them. Here is what I found when I had a check from Chicago-Dublin.
The Sherpa nearly booked this for himself and the Sherpstress, in fact I am still thinking about it, but @DeltaAssist recently declined my status match request (they had their choice of BMI, Aer Lingus or BA), which will be the subject for another post. The rep I spoke with claimed they don’t status match those airlines because they don’t compete on the routes… hmm… it looks like that United flight is operated by Aer Lingus and the price suggests that they do.
US Airways seems to be leading the pack anyway out of ORD, so get these fares while they are hot. Many dates to choose from, some slightly more expensive than others, and these are also available even cheaper from NYC and possibly BOS. Best of all, DUB is the headquarters of RyanAir, so if you wanted to instead of just going to Dublin, you could make it a trip to Rome for the weekend for another €111.98 or $137 all-in (including credit card processing “admin” fee).
That makes your Roman Holiday – $591! I refuse to check a bag so I am not going to include that in the pricing, if you need help not checking a bag for a five day trip see this post. In case you were wondering what it would be if you just shopped it with one airline altogether, here it is marketed by American but flown by Iberia.
Now book something and travel already!
