As a 1K MillionMiler flyer on United, I’ve had my fair share of meals on UA over the last decade. Some have been good, some have been bad, but most were simply acceptable.
Last week I flew on United Airlines from Washington Dulles to Bahrain via Kuwait City on my way to the Qatar A350 inagural and was pleasantly surprised to see a choice on the menu I have not seen since my first p.s. flight from JFK-LAX in 2005: rack of lamb.
Noting that rack of lamb is my favorite dish, the choice was a no-brainer. But would it be good?
Turns out it was. It was delicious – even cooked medium rare, just the way I like it.
This dish is a winner! I hope it sticks around on the menu. I’ve only seen it on Middle East routes, but this would be far preferred over the other choices to Europe and Asia.
Perhaps it will not just be North American meal service that will be improving.
