Air France has a great deal right now on tickets to Tahiti in business class. Yes, you must get yourself to Cairo, but I’ll lay out while this still may make sense.
Cairo is one of the three C’s (Cairo, Casablanca, Colombo) offering very cheap premium airfare. We’ve seen details all around the world originating in Cairo, but this is one of the best I have seen for such a premium leisure market. It’s a bit more ($600-900 more) to go in the coming months, but drops to just $2010 next winter.
Routing will take you via Paris and Los Angeles, all on Air France metal. Air France operates flights between Los Angeles and Tahiti three times per week onboard 777-300 aircraft, all featuring lie-flat beds in business class.
Here’s a sample itinerary–
As an added bonus, Air France currently utilizes its brand new 787-9 on the Cairo – Paris route, giving you a chance to try out Air France’s newest business product. That will switch to an A330 later this year (as noted above), which still offers international business class seats.
As a European or American, How Does This Apply to Me?
Great fare, but I live in Europe or North America. Now what? Here’s why it still may make sense.
Look at prices from Paris to Tahiti on the same dates:

That difference in price is more than enough for a ticket to Egypt.
Fine, don’t. Just fly there and connect right to the Air France flight. You don’t have to leave the airport. Here’s your transit guide. That said, you SHOULD leave the airport: Egypt is a fascinating country with rich history. The pyramids are must-see and where else can you stay in a luxury Marriott resort for $25/night?
This fare is but a sample of the many incredible fares available out of Cairo. Certainly every new thread on Flyertalk or blog post potentially shortens the life of these deals, but once they get out there, their days are numbered anyway. It is my policy on this website only to blog what has been made public on other blogs or on Flyertalk.
