“240 new entrees. 96 new appetizers. 48 new salads.”
United describes its new Polaris Business Class menu as a “complete redesign of the culinary experience”. Earlier today, a group of FAs in Chicago had a chance to sample the food and I am hearing that everyone was impressed.
Sample entrees included:
- seared turbot with beurre blanc sauce and fava bean risotto
- lemongrass-infused chicken in coconut ginger soup
- braised short rib with bordelaise and creamy polenta
- shahi paneer with vegetable jalfreezi and basmati rice
No pictures from today’s event, but we do have these press photos below, including the beautiful new crockery and the Polaris new signature welcome, which apparently will be gourmet chocolate and sparkling wine in a real glass (UA currently serves pre-departure beverages in plastic, even in Global First). The food looks good and United will also have a “buffet” in the galley for heartier snacks between flights than what is offered currently.
I am looking forward to the launch of the Polaris soft product on December 01, 2016!
