A new edition of the United Airlines safety video is out, highlighting once again United’s global route network. While not as humorous as past versions, the new video does contain a few inside jokes or “Easter eggs” that frequent United fliers will smile at. Did you catch them?
Here’s the video–
Here are the four inside jokes I noticed.
- “Nessie” (the Loch Ness Monster from the Safety is Global I video) appears as a constellation in the Icleland (or Alaska) scene.
- The Kanagroo (also from the Safety is Global I video) appears behind the flight attendant as she delivers safety instructions
- In the NYC Half Marathon, mom’s number is 787 while baby’s number is 737
- “Lim” the flirtatious llama (from the Safety is Global II video) appears as another contestant in the NYC Half Marathon. I love his name — the airport code for Lima from his home country of Peru (in the last safety video, he photobombs in Machu Picchu)
What I like about this video is that it is not too long, not too short, and should at least be entertaining for the next several months a I try to scope out additional “Easter eggs”.
Did I miss anything? Let me know if you stumble upon any other inside jokes in the new United safety video?
