It became almost cliché among the “mileage run generation” (may that era rest in peace), but even several years later there is nothing like an In-N-Out burger at LAX after a trip.
When I arrived back home last Thursday, I was hungry. I turned down a hamburger onboard United, not something I usually do, because I wanted my favorite cheeseburger instead (and frankly, because such food would not fly in my wife’s healthy kitchen so I have to take advantage of the opportunity when it arises).
But with the demise of the “free” Parking Spot shuttle to In-N-Out, I now make myself a deal: if I am going to eat an unhealthy snack, especially late at night, I will earn it by walking there.
It’s no easy walk from United’s Terminal 8. It requires going downstairs, crossing the street through the parking structures, around short-term parking, then several blocks down Sepulveda Boulevard. It’s a good 20-25 minute walk.
No matter the time of day, In-N-Out is always crowded (it is open until 1:30a). Expect at least a 10-minute wait for your food at all times.
If I am hungry, I’ll always order the same thing: a Double-Double (two hamburger patties with cheese), a cheeseburger, and French Fries.
For comparison purposes, the BOB hamburger on United is $9.99. My meal cost less.
In-N-Out never disappoints. Next time you’re at LAX and have time before or after your flight, consider walking there. It makes the food taste even better! Hopefully these In-N-Out Burger LAX walking directions are helpful.
