The Library Lounge in Nice Airport, a Priority Pass lounge, offers a quiet work environment, but not much in the area of food.
I did not deliberately arrive early, but with light traffic found myself at Nice Airport about an hour before my flight.
The lounge was virtually empty, with just a couple other passengers. It seemed the only flight leaving that area of the terminal was my Lufthansa flight to Munich.
As you entered the lounge, seating was offered both to the right and left. I turned left first and found a room with chairs, couches, and tables.
True to its namesake, “The Library Lounge” had a fairly extensive library of French books, some of them quite old and beautiful.
A couple of restrooms were available, but no shower.
Like everywhere else in France (I’m truly sorry to say), the coffee was horrible (I prefer the German term schrecklich which almost functions as an onomatopoeia). In addition to the forgettable coffee, food/drink included:
- Self-Serve Alcohol
- Packaged snacks
- Party Mix
- Soft Drinks
Perhaps more food is put out later in the day, but this is definitely not a lounge you want to plan a meal in.
This mostly-deserted lounge offered a quite place to work before my flight. You’ll find the lounge in Zone A of Terminal 1 on the Schengen Side. Take the elevator up to the second floor. Opening hours are daily from 05:45 A.M. to 09:50 P.M.
