As much as I love reviewing first class products, I think business class reviews tend to be more helpful to more readers. Here’s a list of 10 airlines I hope to review this year in business class, but I’m open to suggestion.
Earlier this month I wrote a piece entitled, 10 Flights I Look Forward To In 2019. There is some overlap to the list below, but that list also included first class flights.
You’ll see my list below includes both exotic airlines and more “conventional” airlines. My goal is two-fold. While I want to (and will) review business class products for places I want to visit like Greenland, Tunisia, and Algeria, I also want to review more mass-appeal products that are easily obtainable with miles, like Air Italy, Tap Portugal, and even Delta.
image: Visit Greenland
My #1 travel goal this year is to visit the Faroe Islands and Greenland. While there, I hope to fly the Air Greenland A330 from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq.
I’ve always wanted to visit Tunisia and figure I might as well take Tunis Air when I do. The A330 does not look great at all, but prices are reasonable and I’d like to give this airline a try.
When I go to Tunis I also want to visit neighboring Algeria. While there, why not take Air Algerie in one direction? Their A330 offers reverse herringbone seats in business class and therefore appears a better product than Tunis Air.
Delta Air Lines
I flew the Delta 767-300 in business class and thought it was a fine…now I want to try the A350 suites.
South African Airways
I had such a fun trip booked to South Africa last year that I had to cancel due to other work obligations. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to try the carrier’s new A330 business class before it goes under…
It has been many years since I have been to Australia and the one thing I know when I return is this: I will fly Virgin Australia in one direction. I’ve flown Qantas and United…now we need a Virgin Australia review to or from one of my favorite countries.
Air Italy seems to be in trouble, so I hope I will be able to experience the new Los Angeles to Milan route before the carrier slashes it…
Although I’m not fascinated about returning to Bogota, I do want to try the Avianca 787…I really enjoyed Avianca when I last flew them and discounted business class tickets make Avianca an airline to consider when traveling to Europe or Latin America.
Jordan is one of my favorite places in the world, but I’ve never been on a longhaul Royal Jordanian flight…just a trio or regional flights. I’d like to try to the 787 in business class since this is often a viable redemption option using American Airlines miles.
TAP’s U.S. expansion and new expansion make this an obvious choice to target in 2019. I cannot wait to try the new A330neo.
There it is, a mix of conventional and fairly non-conventional carriers I hope to try. Any glaring omission from my list? Let me know if there is something you would like reviewed.
