The Sala Leonardo Lounge at Milan Linate Airport (LIN) proved an excellent oasis for a famished traveler…
After a long day of driving and meetings–plus some drama at the Alitalia ticket counter–I finally reached the Sala Leonardo Lounge tired and hungry. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this Priority Lounge, but I just hoped there would be something edible to eat because the only thing I had eaten all day was a quick sandwich and coffee at a roadside gas station.
The lounge is open from 05:30 AM – 09:00 PM daily and located near gates 17 and 18. I climbed the stairs, entered the lounge, presented my Priority Pass card, and was soon welcomed inside. I made my way over to the buffet, because if there wasn’t decent food I was going to just depart and find a restaurant.
Thankfully, the food spread was nice. It included bread, crackers, fruit, salad, soup, sandwiches, and a couple of hot dishes.
That was more than enough for a decent dinner of green salad, tomato soup, vegetarian lasagna, and vegetable caponata.
The lounge is large, with comfortable seating spread into many smaller areas. Power ports were abundant.
There are also restrooms (no showers):
And a smoking room:
I appreciated that I was able to enjoy a tasty hot dinner before my late flight to Naples. For that alone, I recommend this lounge. But Linate is not exactly a nice airport (though it is certainly convenient). This lounge provides a far more comfortable place to wait for your flight than the gate area.
