Modern, hip, and bright, the Singapore Airlines Lounge is a nice alternative to the Thai Airways Business Class Lounge In Bangkok.
Rather than rows of uniforms chairs, this lounge offers a mix of comfortable chairs, most with power outlets nearby.
A dining area adjacent to the buffet offers further seating.
Available food included Nasi Lemuni with the all the toppings, a salad bar, cheese, fruit, sandwiches, cereals, breakfast breads with preserves, fruit, yogurt, ice cream, and hot breakfast items (western, Singaporean, and Thai). Next to the self-serve coffee machine there was also a small refrigerator with Häagen-Dazs ice cream in it.
A full bar offered a choice of various liquors, but there was also barista-made available, Asahi and Singha beer, and water, juice, and soft drinks. There was even fresh coconut water in the refrigerator.
Restrooms were clean, but no showers are available in this lounge (that I saw). They were also on the small side (at least the men’s room) with only one stall…
This Star Alliance Gold Lounge is open daily from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM. If you find the Thai Airways Business Class lounge is crowded, check this one out. Better yet, just head here first. Perhaps it too gets very crowded later in the day, but it was sparsely filled during my visit.
