The greatest debate is not Democrats versus Republicans, right versus left or how to handle immigration, climate change, or inequality. Nope, it is Biscoff cookies versus stroopwafels. Which one is the better airline snack?
I’m joking of course, but I am now faced with a dilemma every time I step on a United flight and my upgrade doesn’t clear. A stroopwafel or a Biscoff cookie?
I love them both so much. It was United who actually first introduced me to stroopwafels, but I now eat them all the time and even stock up on them when I am in Holland.
But all my life I’ve loved the cinnamon sugar biscuits known as Biscoffs in the USA or known generically as speculoos.
Flight attendants are very strict about only being allowed to choose one (unless you are really demanding), so recently I’ve been left with a hard choice every time I fly.
As much as I love stroopwafels, especially when warmed up over a cup of coffee, I have to admit that I prefer Biscoffs.
Maybe that’s why these Belgian cookies are available on American, Delta, and United now. That mix of cinnamon, butter, and sugar creates one of my favorites tastes, no matter the time of day.
What do you prefer, Biscoffs or stroopwafels? Why? It’s the end of the work week and I think we all need a lighter topic to digest on this beautiful afternoon.
